Hawaiian Vacation

OMG! We had the best time!!!!! Off we went to the Big Island of Hawaii for the perfect, most relaxing spring break ever. Ginny and Gene booked a house at the Islands in the Mauna Lani Resort. It was the perfect location for our family (well, minus little Van who stayed with Aunt Cathy for the week). The girls were thrilled to ride first class in a limo to the airport. Our week in Hawaii was filled with lot's of swimming, sun and fun. Everyday we would make our way to the pool for swimming and snorkeling. Josette is very competent in the pool and Jessie is right behind her. Gigi loves the water and is challenging herself to go under. Jeff worked a lot with the girls teaching them how to swim and we all had fun splashing and playing in the water. We also spent time at the Beach Club where the girls loved collecting shells and digging in the sand. Everyday I would check in with Aunt Cathy to make sure Van was alright and everyday she would send pictures of his adventures with the Cordas cousins. Raquel and the boys took great care of him... strolling, swinging, playing and taking him to hockey games. I was assured he was well taken care of and wish we could have stayed longer. It was just a nice week for us to connect, laugh and enjoy each other. I hope we can make Hawaii a yearly tradition. It is beautiful and serene and the perfect place for my Nani family. E Hoomau Maua Kealoha... May Our Love Last Forever!

Career Day

This was Josette's first oral presentation. She gave a career report in front of her classmates and parents. The career she chose was to be a 2nd Grade Teacher. She did FABULOUS!!! She spoke clearly, looked up at her audience and brought visuals. We were all blown away at each child's courage and performance to stand up in front of an audience and individually deliver their presentation. Her teacher, Mrs. Millinder is a wonderful person and gives each child the confidence they need to do a great job. By the way, her glasses are not prescription and she received an outstanding on her report. Good job, Josette!!!!

Shawnie's 4th Birthday

I love these parties at 'Pump It Up'. The kids get to play and celebrate with their friends and us Moms get to visit and catch up. It's the best!!!

Jessie and Token

Jessie was glad to have Token, the class pet, for 3 sleeps. I think he had fun with the Lewis Girls.

Daddy Day

Jessie's been waiting and waiting for this day to arrive. Daddy Day at Town and Country! Jessie took her favorite person to school today and showed him all that she does. They played on the playground, sang a song and did a craft together. Then they had a special daddy and daughter lunch... just the two of them!

Grandma Lang's Birthday

We celebrated 2 things today... Grandma Lang's Birthday and St. Patty's Day. We drove up to AL and had lunch with Grandma Lang, Grandma Furnare and Auntie Ann. It's always wonderful when we get together and since we don't live that close, I cherish every moment. Happy Birthday! We love you!!!!

Gigi's 5th Birthday

Oh what a fun filled birthday it was for Gigi. She started her day by opening presents in the morning. She was the birthday queen at school and passed out her favorite yellow and pink cookies to her friends. For dinner the whole family went to Gigi's favorite restaurant, Frascati's.

I can't believe Gigi is 5. There are so many things we love about Gigi. We love her yellow hair and bright blue eyes. We love her huge heart made of sweetness and sugar. She is always a pleasure to be with and Mom and Dad's beautiful buddy. She looks up to her big sis Josie and makes sure she keeps little sis, Jess in line. She helps me feed Baby Van and loves him dearly. She loves her teacher Miss Kathy and loves to play freeze tag with her friends. My favorite thing about Gigi is she always wakes up with a smile and never runs out of her sweet pillow kisses. We are lucky to have such a special girl in our lives.
