Mother's Day
I woke up Sunday morning showered with many home and school made Mother's Day gifts. It was the best! Josette gave me a beautifully designed butterfly plate. Gigi gave me a sunflower to grow in our garden. Jessie gave me a gorgeous candle votive/vase to decorate my kitchen. We all went to the Lunada Bay bakery for breakfast, then met Sherry, Georgie and Lilly back at the house for some play time. For dinner we went to Ginny and Gene's for some chicken and ribs. It was the best day! I am thankful to be a Mother and am so thankful to have the beautiful Mother's in my life... My Mom, My Grandma and Ginny! They are all beautiful women and wonderful examples to me and my girls. Life is wonderful when you share it with wonderful people!
First Holy Communion
Little Josette, 8 years old, made her First Holy Communion today at St. Lawrence. With her family looking on, she took the Body of Christ for the first time. She has been attending her CCD classes for two years to prepare. She picked out her dress, vail and shoes and wanted her family and friends to be there by her side. At her young age, Josette is already very thoughtful and spiritual. She says her prayers every night and has an appreciation for the wonderful things in her life. I know she will continue her relationship and faith in God and know that he will ALWAYS be there for her.
