Fishing and Frascati on Father's Day

We woke up Sunday morning and as usual on special occasions we open presents in pj's. This special day is Father's Day and we want to celebrate the greatest Dad in the World! Things we love about Jeff are... his sensitive nature, his strong muscles, his ability to build anything, his kind and generous heart and that he loves us all so much! His favorite gifts were the beautiful painted rock from Gigi, his fancy new painted t-shirt from Jessie and his colorful custom key chain from Josette. After breakfast, we drove down South to the Huckleberry Pond for some fishing with Grandpa Lang and the cousins. Later that evening we joined Ginny and Gene and Al and Randa at Frascati for a dinner celebration. We are very thankful for all the Father's and Grandfather's in our lives and appreciate your kindness and love for our family!

Principal's Award

This was by far the most exciting, rewarding and special day for Josette and her entire family. For the 3rd year in a row, the Teachers and Principal, Mrs. Allphin, have chosen Josette to receive the Principal's Award. Each year they choose one or two students from each grade to receive the Award. Josette was recognized for being an outstanding student in all areas, for being an excellent citizen and for leading by example. Those words came straight from her Award. Josette has been an excellent student ALL year. We are so proud of her! Tears came to my eyes as I read her perfect score report card. Mrs. Millinder said "She is a pleasure to have in class and she is every teacher's dream student. I can't wait to see what the future holds." Josette's nature is to do the right thing and be kind to others. It makes me proud and honored that she is recognized by others for being such a good person. Josette, I hope you look back on this day and appreciate your wonderful accomplishments. We ended the day by taking her to dinner for a special date night with Mom and Dad.

Matt's Eagle Scout Honors

We attended Matt Ulizio's special ceremony and celebration watching him receive his Eagle Scout Award. What an accomplishment for him after many years of hard work and dedication. Look how beautiful Cara and the girls are!

Gigi's Graduation From Town & Country

Gigi's Graduation and Olympics Day has arrived. She has completed 2 years of Preschool and is ready to enter Kindergarten. So much preparation went into her Olympics Day. She practiced, practiced and practiced her hula hooping, jump roping, running and hurdle jumps. Her teachers, Miss Kathy and Miss Sharon, helped her design her t-shirt, flag and torch. She accomplished her physical activities with pride and a huge smile on her face. The ceremonies ended with her receiving an Olympic Medal. We are so grateful of her experience at Town & Country. She is taking with her... confidence, good social skills and a sense of adventure to start her long journey of learning in elementary school. Good Job Gigi!!!

Josette's Spring Play

The Garden Play... flowers vs. weeds. The songs were beautiful and Josette hit her line perfectly. Everyone came out today to see Miss Josette perform. She has a knack for acting and singing and hopefully she will welcome the opportunity to perform in the future. Good job Josie!

Disneyland

Our once a year visit is always the best and most looked forward to event of the year. What more can I say... Disneyland is the happiest place on earth! A highlight of the day was running into the Schrader Family who we haven't seen in a year since moving to Arizona. Rides we never miss are Pirates, Haunted House and Small World. Can't wait to return in 2012!
