Vacation Bible Study

The girls spent the week at Riviera Methodist for our 1st VBS. Everyday they sang songs, performed skits, made crafts and learned and discussed Bible stories with each other.  We ended the week with a family BBQ Luau where the kids performed their songs.  It was a great experience!

Claire, Carrie and Granny!

Today we drove to Alta Loma to spend some time with Claire and Carrie.  Carrie is about 30 weeks pregnant with her 1st little boy!  After our fun visit with cousins, we stopped by to spend some quality time with Grandma Furnare and Aunty Ann.

Raquel's Birthday

How do you spell fun?  BOOMERS!  Our 1st time... mini golf, bumper cars, bumper boats, arcade games, prizes, pizza and cake.  So much fun packed in one afternoon.  Happy Birthday Raquel!

Our Last Night With Christy, Mark and Abby

We went to Nelson's at Terranea for our last night together.  We sat outside visiting and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery.  The 1st mishap was Jessie spilling Jeff's drink all over Gigi.  She had to change into Ginny's sweater for the remainder of the night.  2nd mishap was we were never seated.  We waited and waited and waited until we just couldn't wait any longer.  We were all so hungry and irritated!  We decided to complain and just leave!  We ended up eating pizza after 9pm at Lampost.  It was yummy!  Very disappointed in Nelson's service, but we still had a good time with the gang!  Don't think we'll be going back there anytime soon!  Our visit with Christy, Mark and Abby was a good one... but a bit too short.  We had so many other things we wanted to do... well, hopefully next summer we'll do them all!  Love you guys!

Sweet Gigi is a good sport!
Finally!  Food!

Dinner with Family

The girls and I did some shopping with Abby today then met up with Christy & Mark and Ginny & Gene for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.  Our time with Abby is almost over, but we've had so much fun shopping, swimming and sleep overs.  The girls and Van just love Abby and Aunt Christy and it's been great getting to know Mark as well.

Sweet Josette

A couple weeks ago Josette and Grandpa Gene were at the grocery store when she found $40 laying in the isle.  Instead of taking it, she turned it in to an employee who said "If no one claims it in a week, it's yours."  She was thrilled!  She quickly called me and Grandma Lang to tell us what happened and that she was going to donate $20 to our Church and buy a webkinz with the rest.  Well, no one claimed the money, so it was hers to keep.  We quickly went to Toys R Us and she bought something for herself as well as Gigi and Jessie.  Later that week while getting ready for Church, she pulled out her $20, put it in a special envelope and donated it.  Josette never ceases to amaze me.  Her good character and sweet nature come from her kind and pure heart.  She is always thinking of others and when she says she's going to do something, she follows through.  Good job Josette!  You're our little ANGEL!
