Mike's Birthday

Jeff and I spent last Saturday in Westlake Village celebrating Mike's 50th birthday with Heather & Mike and their close friends.  We're no longer attending 40th birthday parties but have graduated to the half century mark.  We met some nice people, enjoyed the Mexican cuisine and loved spending time with John & Sherry and Heather & Mike.  Happy Birthday!

Knotts Berry Farm

I was lucky enough to chaperone the 4th graders on their field trip to Knotts Berry Farm to learn about early California history.  We watched the blacksmith weld a horseshoe, sat in the old school house, saw a covered wagon replica, toured the California Cable Car and road the Calico Mine Train.  The highlight of course was riding the Log Ride!  I loved my day with Gigi and always look forward to special field trips like these!

American Martyrs Fair

We spent the day in Manhattan Beach to watch the girls sing as they joined the American Martyrs Choir to sing at the Parish Fair.  Following their performance, we played games, had faces painted and munched on cotton candy and popcorn.  A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Western Night

Another year, another Western Night at Tulita.  This year was bigger and better!  They decided to hold it on the playground and blacktop with more games, more food and more fun!  Raquel and Jonah were staying with us for the weekend and we also brought Susie and Jess.  We met up with lots of friends from school.  We all had a great time and look forward to going again next year!

Happy Birthday Trista

It's a little early, but Trista and I met at Saint and Second in Belmont Shores to catch up and celebrate her birthday.  It was a great night with my friend for life!
